From there, continue to the charming town of Franschhoek, where you’ll explore its rich French heritage before boarding the open-air Franschhoek Wine Tram. Hop on and off to visit prestigious wine estates, sampling award-winning wines along the way (meals and extra tastings at own cost). After lunch, head toward Paarl with a brief detour to Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela spent his final days in captivity. In Paarl, enjoy a guided walk through the town followed by a visit to the renowned Spice Route—a unique collection of artisanal food, wine, beer, and craft stalls.
